Salary, Net Worth, and Career Earnings

Julius Randle has a net worth ranging from $6 million to $11 million. However, some websites have stated that it is worth $25 million.

Through NBA league games, the NBA athlete has amassed a significant amount of wealth. He received an annual salary of around $2.9 million in his rookie season after signing with the LA Lakers.

Furthermore, the Los Angeles Lakers paid him nearly $10.4 million for three more regular seasons with the team. He earned $8.64 million playing for the Pelicans in the 2018-19 season.

The New York Knicks have already paid him about $37.8 million. At present, his annual salary is about $21 million. Randle has already earned about $60 million from his NBA career to date.

In addition, he has earned some more amount through merch sales and endorsements from companies like Nike, Mountain Dew, etc.

Career in High School

Prestonwood Christian Academy was Randle’s high school basketball team. He was great from the start of his career and continued to be so until his final season.

The athlete led his team to victory in the Under Armour Elite 24 dunk contest during his junior season. As a result, he was named MVP of the event.

His performance, though, had already made him a star while he was still in high school.

He improved dramatically in his senior season, and by the conclusion of the year, basketball pundits and top experts had rated him one of the best power forwards in the country.

As a result, many universities expressed interest in having him continue his education with them.

Texas, Kansas, Florida, Kentucky, and other notable universities were represented. He did, however, attend the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate studies.

College Life

When he started playing for the University of Texas at Lexington, the Texas native showed even more promise. He started all 40 matches he played as a freshman.

He earned the coaches’ trust, and they did their best to develop one of the team’s greatest players. Julius’ rookie season saw him average 15.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

He had 24 double-doubles this season, second only to Dan Issel’s record of 25 double-doubles.

He also took Kentucky to the national championship game. He was not, however, effective in assisting them in lifting the title.

He felt he was ready to compete with the NBA’s bigger players after his rookie season with an unbelievable statistical table. He was considerably more confident in himself and his abilities.

As a result, he decided to quit his college career rather than play for three more years. On April 22, 2014, he finally chose to enter the 2014 NBA Draft.

Career Opportunities

Randle was chosen seventh overall in the first round by the Los Angeles Lakers.

It was unexpected, given that the draft featured a number of outstanding college graduates, and he was a young player who had only played one season in college.

He did not have a productive rookie season, though, as he was forced to sit out the entire season after suffering a leg injury in his first game against the Houston Rockets.

He returned the following season with zeal and delivered exactly what was expected. Throughout the season, he averaged 11.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in 81 games.

In addition, he played in some Summer League games for the Lakers.

Julius remained with the Lakers for two more seasons before joining the New Orleans Pelicans. His stats table figures improved more than his second NBA season.

On July 9, 2018, Randle signed a two-year contract with the Pelicans, however, it was only for one season.

With the Pelicans in 2018-19, he had his second-highest average of 21.4 points per game. He appeared in 74 games and had a strong rebounding record.

However, the club was forced to let him go because he did not want to stay with them any longer.

In 2019, the then-free agent signed a three-year contract with the New York Knicks. He has already played two complete seasons for the Knicks since signing the contract.

In addition, in the 2020-21 season, the athlete set a career-high with 24.1 rebounds per game.

For his outstanding performance, he was named an NBA All-Star and the NBA’s Most Improved Player in the same season.

In the current NBA season, he is still with the New York Knicks.
