Mickie James is a professional wrestler, singer, dancer, and model.  Mickie James is a former WWE Divas Champion and a champion Women Wrestler. She has won the WWE Women’s Championship five times.

She has three TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) knockout championships to her credit, and she and Team TNA won the TNA World Cup in 2013.

Early Years

Mickie James was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 31, 1979.

Sandra Knuckles, her mother, is a teacher and a real estate agent, while Stuart James, her father, is a retired wastewater-treatment worker and a gardener.

Mickie is a native American and descendant of the Powhatan tribe on her mother’s side, which is a lesser-known fact.

Mickie’s parents split soon after she was born, and her mother, Sandra, was given custody.

Mickie spent the majority of her formative days on her grandmother’s 47-acre horse farm.

Her initial interest in athletics was sparked by her love of horses.

James took her first riding lesson when she was six years old, and she hoped to one day work as a horse trainer.

In 1999, she debuted on the independent circuit as a valet for KYDA pro wrestling under the ring name ‘Alexis Laree.’

She handled various wrestlers during this period, including Tommy Dreamer.

Mickie worked as a waitress for ‘Olive Garden,’ an American casual dining restaurant brand, in addition to her wrestling bouts.

Mickie supplemented her income by posing naked for adult magazines like Leg Show and Naughty Neighbors in the early 2000s.

WWE debut

In 2003, she was signed by WWE and assigned to the Ohio Valley region, which was still their developmental zone at the time.

Her debut OVW appearance was on January 29, 2004, and she went on to compete in numerous tag-team matches after that.

On October 10, 2005, James made his WWE debut. In a RAW program, she used the stage name Mickie James and pretended to be an enthusiastic Trish Stratus fan.

In April 2010, Mickie returned to the independent circuit, appearing for the World Wrestling Council (WWC) and Maryland Championship Wrestling (MCW).

Mickie got a deal with TNA in September of that year, and she made promotional appearances as well as a special edition of ‘Impact!’

Ascending to fame

In April of 2011, James won the first ‘Covey Pro Women’s Championship, but in November of that year, she was defeated by Jessie Belle Smother.

In April 2011, she defeated Madison Rayne to win the ‘TNA Knockouts Championship.’

With her victory, she became the first and only diva to hold all three WWE Women’s, WWE Divas, and TNA Knockout Championship titles.

She won the TNA knockout championship twice more, in September 2011 and May 2013. In June 2015, she won the MCW women’s championship, only to lose it against Kimber Lee in November of the same year.

In July 2015, she was briefly connected with Global Force Wrestling (GFW).

The diva made her WWE comeback in January 2017 on an episode of ‘SmackDown Live.’ In the 2017 ‘Superstar Shake-Up,’ she was drafted to RAW.

During the 2019 Superstar Shakeup, the WWE diva was recruited back to the SmackDown brand.

She injured her knee during a live engagement in July 2019 and was out of commission for several months following surgery. She worked as a pundit for the main event during her rehabilitation.

The stunning diva launched her first song, ‘Are you with me’, and the album ‘Stranger’s & Angles’ in 2010. Notable music producer Kent Wells produced this CD.

She got signed to “Eone Music Nashville’ later on and released her first single with a music video, ‘Somebody’s Gonna Pay.’ This video shows her real-life spouse Nick Aldis and her friend Trish Stratus.

Her album of the same name was released as a result, and it debuted at number 15 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

‘Hardcore country,’ Mickie’s TNA entrance music, is included as a bonus tune on her debut album.

On September 25, 2014, the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Donovan Patrick Aldis. They tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony on December 31, 2015.
