High School and College Career

Turner was recognized as a high prospect and received offers from Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Wichita State, Alabama, and Auburn.

But on April 28, 2015, he nonetheless chose to join Tennessee. Lamonte was given a redshirt for the ensuing rookie campaign.
