High School Career

Haskins and his family moved to Potomac when he was in ninth grade.

Haskins was looking for a more competitive environment, so he enrolled in Bullis High School.

During his high school years, Haskins would even carry a football in his backpack.

Haskins would arrive early for practice to help with receivers on footwork drills.

After 9 p.m., Haskins Sr., as well as Haskins’ mother and sister, would come to the practice facility for one or two-hour sessions.

Haskins passed for 5,308 yards and 54 touchdowns while playing high school football at Bullis from 2013 to 2016.

Haskins received offers from 38 colleges.

Haskins initially committed to Maryland, but once Randy Edsall, the Maryland coach, was sacked, he decided to play football for Ohio State.

College Career

Haskins redshirted his freshman year at Ohio State. Haskins was chosen as a backup for J.T Barrett later in his second season and did not start any games.

Haskins was the 15th pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft by the Washington Redskins.

Haskins earned his first win as a starter in Week 12 as the Washington Redskins upset the Detroit Lions 19-16.

Haskins was selected as one of Washington’s team captains and starters for the 2020 season.

The First Breach of the Covid Protocol

Haskins broke the league’s Covid rule for the first time in October, before to a game against the New York Giants.

He invited a family member to the team’s New York hotel. Washinton later penalized him $4,833 for violating protocol.

Haskins was benched as a result, and he remained a backup until week 14.
