Boxing Career

Despite the fact that he was fighting professional boxers who were significantly older than he was, he was able to knock out the majority of his opponents and maintain his winning run.

He also knocked out 11 of his 13 opponents in his first 19 months as a professional, all of whom were substantially older than him.

Furthermore, he began with a string of impressive victories, and in 2008, he knocked out two of his opponents to claim the famous “WBA Fedecentro” welterweight title.

Later that year, on September 14, Canelo lost a big fight to Floyd Mayweather Jr, marking his first professional defeat.

Canelo’s battling spirit, though, was unaffected by the defeat.

He went on to win many more fights in 2014, including triumphs over Alfredo Angulo.
