He previously worked for Editora Globo. From June 2010 to December 2011, Alberto was the director of Multimedia and Infographics. He was responsible for acting as an executive editor for the group’s magazines.

From 2005 to 2009, he worked as an assistant professor at the university. Alberto was the James H. Schumaker Term Assistant Professor at UNC between 2008 and 2009.
