A career in High School
Admiral enrolled in Zion-Benton Township High School in Zion, Illinois, after finishing middle school, and remained there until his graduation.
He started out as a center for their high school team.
In addition to playing for his school, he competed in AAU events for Team NLP.
Schofield’s constant point-scoring talents and frequent rebounds never failed to impress his coaches and fans.
Admiral was also named to the Associated Press Class 4A All-State second team as a senior after being nominated for the McDonald’s All-American.

College Life
Admiral Schofield attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and majored in African Studies.
He was mostly there to play basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Schofield missed three matches as a result of a rule infraction during his sophomore season, but he saw more playing time than the previous year.
He made little progress, however, and concluded the season with 8.2 points per game.
He demonstrated his true abilities over the last two seasons, averaging double-digit points and rebounds per game.
Professional Development
Admiral Schofield declared for the 2019 NBA draft after graduating from college with high expectations.
He had really improved his game in the previous two years, and it was clear that he would be drafted by an NBA team.
They soon moved him to the Washington Wizards.
Fortunately, the Wizards signed him to a three-year contract in July 2019.
They assigned him to the Capital City Go-Go to play in the NBA G League for a while.
Admiral became the first Wizards player to play for both the Wizards and the Go-Go club on the same day December 4, 2019.
As the season progressed, Schofield participated in only 33 matches for his club and saw much less playing time.
He was only able to put up 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds a game.
As a result, he was dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2020.
Following a brief run with the Atlanta Hawks in August, he joined the Lakeland Magic, the Orlando Magic’s NBA G League affiliate club.
The Magic had him sign a two-way contract for the 2021-22 season after he averaged 14.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in the 2020-21 NBA G League. This season, though, he had little impact on the game.
