Season 2013 of the Atlanta Falcons

Desmond was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

He was the third cornerback chosen, following Dee Milliner (overall: 9th) and D.J. Hayden (overall: 12th).

On July 24, 2013, he agreed to a four-year contract worth $8.16 million.
