After a year, Jack Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie’s engagement drew a surprising response from Jack’s nanny Joanna Newton.
The 91-year-old was of course ecstatic for the two of them.
She did, however, add that Jack lacked much intelligence.

She stated to Daily Mail: “I never imagined that he would wed a royal.
He’s a cute boy and all that, but he’s not the smartest, and I never would have imagined this would happen.
“He’s a good-looking, pleasant guy, but I wouldn’t describe him as extraordinary.
I think it says a lot about Eugenie that she wants him, and that’s beautiful.”
Eugenie and Jack said that Eugenie’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of York, were pleased for her in a TV interview following their engagement.
Eugenie is the next in line for the English throne.
Eugenie’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, expressed her happiness for the pair and best wishes for their future together.
