Early Career
Taylor began competing in ITF events shortly after turning 15 years old.
His junior career began in 2013 when he competed in low-level grade 4 competitions. Later, when he was 16 years old, he began competing in the 2013 US Open Junior.
He took part in Junior Wimbledon in 2014, where he made it all the way to the semifinals. In the same year, he also triumphed in the Osaka Mayor’s Cup, his first “Grade A” competition.
Taylor advanced to the quarterfinals of many junior grand slam competitions in 2015, including the US Open and French Open.
