Sarayu Rao was born on March 7, 1975, in Madison, Wisconsin, United States.

Rao is an American citizen, but her parents, Velcheru Narayana Rao and Nidadavolu Malathi, are Indian Brahmins.

Her mother is a successful poet who writes Telugu and English short stories and poetry.

Sarayu, like any other child, is very close to her parents, particularly her mother Malathi.

She’s even posted a couple of photos with her mother on Instagram.

Rao made a sweet post wishing her mother’s birthday on June 26th, explaining how much she despises reality shows and how much she loves nature.

Aside from International Women’s Day, she wrote a lengthy post detailing everything her mother did for her.

She also attributed her success in life to her mother.

Sarayu Rao’s Education

In terms of education, she graduated from West High School in Madison.

Later, she studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2005.

Rao is married to Jonathan Blue. Sarayu is a married woman in 2014.

Jonathan Blue, the Director of Creative Development at ReKon Productions, is her husband.

The couple married on July 18, 2016, in front of close friends and family, and they have been together ever since.

In fact, on the occasion of their 5th wedding anniversary on July 19, 2019, she shared beautiful photos from their wedding day.

She added a lovely caption, “Five. Let’s continue, @jonjonblue. This is far too enjoyable.”

Not only that, but the lovely couple celebrated the occasion by visiting their favorite restaurant in Los Angeles a day later.

Sarayu Rao, a successful actress, made her acting debut in the drama film Leela in 2002.

Her breakthrough role, however, was as Senator Irving’s Receptionist in the 2007 film Lions for Lambs.

She appeared in two short films in 2011 and 2012, Good News, Oklahoma,…

Or Die, in which she portrayed Sissy and Riz’s Wife.

Her other films include Dealin’ with Idiots (2013), Blockers (2018), and To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, in which she co-starred with Trezzo Mahoro.
