With her enigmatic style and typical Irish humor, the 24-year-old Wexford native had acquired over 610,000 followers on the video-sharing app TikTok by utilizing her platform to encourage disability awareness.

After Codd erased all her TikTok videos, many of her admirers and
followers were concerned about the young TikToker.
They took it to their personal social media to convey their worry.
A fan posted, “Ruth Codd’s TikTok has been erased and all of her socials. Why? And how am I going to get my daily laughs?”
Similarly, one of her followers rushed to TikTok and
uploaded a video about her concern about Codd’s deleted TikTos, tagging the influencer.
Codd later reacted to the video, revealing she just needed to walk away and take some time for herself.
She commented, “Guys, I’m A-ok. Thank you for your concern.
My health wasn’t fantastic, so I just chose to step away from social media for now. Love you all.”
“I’m really sorry I didn’t want to worry anyone. I truly didn’t believe anyone would realize I was gone,” she added.

Codd is an amputee, and she shared her journey and stories on her TikTok account,
educating others and creating awareness linked to disability through her comedy videos.
In an interview with Hunger, she claimed that TikTok unexpectedly became an educational tool for her.
She further remarked, “People explore many negative situations through humor.
I believe I’ve got quite a dark sense of humor, but it shows people that it’s normal to talk about.”
She remarked that her account was not just about her amputation but also her personality.
She explained, “My amputation is a little part of me, but I still have other things going on.
My channel isn’t simply me saying, ‘hi, I have one leg’. It’s about other elements of my life too.”

From a renowned TikTok sensation to an actor, Codd has had quite a career.
The make-up artist can soon be seen in a Netflix horror series, The Midnight Club, due to be broadcast on October 7, 2022.
She has even specified the date in her Instagram bio, so it is confirmed we may see her in the series.
The Midnight Club is a teen-horror series coming to Netflix from The Haunting creator Mike Flanagan.
Based on Christopher Pike’s best-selling novel, the Midnight Club will be Flanagan’s seventh Netflix Original series.
