Who is Musa Okwonga?

Musa Okwonga is a British entrepreneur, author, podcaster, and former football journalist. Musa Okwonga is one of the hosts of The Stadio Podcast. Musa has also written at least nine books, including One Of Them: An Eton College Memoir (2021).

Early Life and Childhood

Musa Okwonga was born in London, England, on October 11, 1979. Musa’s age is 42.

Musa was born in Uganda to Ugandan immigrants who were foreign doctors.

Furthermore, his father Wilson arrived in London in 1971, while his mother Phoebe arrived in 1972 with nothing but a handbag fleeing the dictatorship of Idi Amin.

Furthermore, he was raised in a Ugandan-descent family with three siblings, the eldest of whom was him.

Unfortunately, Musa’s father died when he was four years old, after briefly leaving Britain to fight in Uganda’s civil war.

He was 40 years old when he died in a helicopter crash in 1983. Musa was thus raised solely by his mother in West Drayton, along with his siblings.

Education Details

Musa Okwonga attended Eton College from 1993 to 1998, where he received a scholarship and served as a prefect.

Musa left Eton to study at St John’s College, Oxford, where he majored in Jurisprudence for three years.

Professional Career

Okwonga and Ryan Hunn are the co-hosts of The Stadio Podcast. Furthermore, the podcast takes a close look at the game both on and off the field, while interweaving music, pop culture references, and so on.

In April 2021, he published One of Them: An Eton College Memoir, a book about his time at Eton College. He also discusses his time at Eton College, which shaped and challenged him.

However, he is perplexed as to why the institution that was so beneficial to him appears to be contributing to the harm being done in the United Kingdom.

He is the author of In the End, It Was All About Love, which describes how the narrator relocated from London to Berlin in search of peace and perhaps love, only to discover that the problems that have long plagued him are also present.

As a result, this book is a journey of loss and self-acceptance that takes the narrator from Berlin to his Ugandan roots.

Striking Out, inspired by Ian Wright’s life, follows the journey of Jerome, a 13-year-old with a dream of becoming a world-class footballer.

With a difficult home life, he cannot see how he will make his dream a reality until he meets a mentor figure who can hopefully put him on the right track.
