People were aware that Samantha Harris was in a love connection with her boyfriend Luke Hunt and that the couple had been engaged in the early 2010s.
Years later, rumors circulated on the internet that the engaged couple had exchanged wedding vows.
However, those reports remained unconfirmed until Harris herself confirmed them in 2016.
In late October 2016, the Australian model spoke exclusively to Marie Claire Australia, when she officially revealed her marriage.
Harris revealed that she and her fiance married in a private ceremony in March 2014 but chose to keep it a secret.
“My family, Luke’s family, and a handful of our close friends were present,” she said of her private wedding to Hunt.
It felt more like a family reunion or a Christmas meal, with lots of love and support.”
Harris and Hunt made the decision to create their own vows.
The bride chose a white, strapless Carla Zampatti gown for her wedding day, which was complemented by a simple bouquet of roses and lilies.
The couple has been inseparable since their wedding and has held one other’s hand through thick and thin.
They have been married for over eight years and will celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary in March 2022.
Harris was spotted on Instagram sharing some adorable selfies with her partner.
Similarly, the married pair are occasionally seen out and about in Sydney’s streets, but they keep their relationship discreet.
Harris and Hurt currently live with their pets in Sydney, New South Wales.
The couple has yet to have children.

Samantha Harris and Hunt were engaged at the time and were attending a gym on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Because it was the weekend and there was heavy traffic, they had to take an alternative way to the gym.
Hunt was also speeding and driving 30 kilometers over the speed limit.
He eventually ran an amber light, and his vehicle crashed with a car driven by a 78-year-old local called Kenneth Lay.
Harris noted in another interview with Marie Claire Australia that she and her husband had a busy schedule at the time.
“That day, everything that could go wrong did.
I was texting and had my head down, so I don’t recall the accident – I suppose my body went into shock and I collapsed.”
When she regained consciousness and realized what had happened, she began to panic.
“I had no idea what was going on. “Luke was in a lot of agonies (from probable spinal fractures) and we believed he was going to die,” she added.
Paramedics arrived quickly and transported all three of them to the hospital.
Fortunately, nothing bad had happened to Harris and Hunt, but they were grieved to learn of Kenneth Lay’s death.
“The police came in and said Mr. Lay had died,” Harris explained.
Luke was taken aback and began sobbing; he couldn’t believe it.”
Hunt was charged with hazardous driving that resulted in a death and sentenced to two years in jail.
And because the couple would be apart for two years, they decided to share their wedding vows.
In March 2014, two months before Hunt was sentenced to prison, they married.

However, in order to respect Kenneth Lay and his family, they agreed not to disclose their wedding news and to keep their wedding low-key.
“We had been engaged for a few years and were planning to get married,” Harris told Marie Claire.
Would our wedding have been larger under normal conditions?
Most likely not, but I would have shared a photo or anything on social media.”
Hunt was released from Muswellbrook Minimum Security Prison in May 2016, and Harris and Hunt’s mother was there to pick him up.
Hunt returned to work after his release, and a few months later, he surprised his wife with dinner using the money he had saved. “We stayed at the Shangri La [Hotel] in town,” Samantha explained.
“And he had somehow organized for us to have supper at Tetsuya’s restaurant,” she said.
I was taken aback. I’d never had anything like that done for me before. It felt like we never had a honeymoon.”
Hunt is now a changed guy, and they have done everything they can to move forward from the awful occurrence.
“We don’t talk about the accident much because I can’t take it,” Harris explained, “but I know he feels strongly for Mr. Lay’s family and always will.”
