Pierre Boo is a well-known social media personality. Pierre Boo rose to prominence through his TikTok videos. Nick Champa [aka Nicky Champa] rose to fame for the same reasons as him. Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa are TikTok’s “It” gay couple who rose to prominence at the same time, owing to their love.

The duo would share photos of themselves, prank videos, and other content, which went viral and increased their follower count.

As their social media presence grew, they ventured onto TikTok and YouTube, realizing that they might be the type of couple who can reflect on “what our future could look like.”

“What excites us the most is when people see us simply as a couple, not necessarily a ‘gay couple,'” Nicky told Forbes in April 2021.

One of the most valuable and respected assets you can have right now is living your truth and being your authentic self.”

And, despite the fact that their popularity sometimes causes people to worry about a possible breakup, the two made sure that didn’t happen.

According to Pierre and Nicky, they prioritize themselves and always make time for themselves and their relationship.

Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa first met at a film audition

Pierre and Nicky were aspiring actors trying to make a living in Los Angeles before they became famous together on the internet.

They met for the first time on a day in 2017 when they were in Hollywood for a movie audition.

The details were later revealed during the couple’s numerous interviews with various media outlets.

In an exclusive interview with J-14 in April 2021, they recalled their first meeting. Nicky stated that the moment he saw Pierre, he knew he was the one.

“I was just drawn to him. He was breathtakingly beautiful, and he exuded an illuminating presence.

“I saw stars,” he added. “I don’t know how he saw that,” Pierre said, adding that he was late, stressed, and trying to focus on his audition.

Nicky went on to say that he had photographed his future boyfriend so that they could meet again.

“I have how I saw him for the first time forever,” he said. I have a physical copy of it.”

Pierre revealed in another interview with NBC News in February 2022 that when he met Nicky, he had just ended a relationship.

“I was coming out of a difficult breakup, and after one, two, three, four… heartbreaks, I lost the dream of a fairy-tale relationship,” he explained.

Despite their fears and Pierre’s recent heartbreak, they went on a date soon after meeting.

And the rest is history, as they discovered they had a lot in common. The couple moved in together one month later.

“When we met and realized we had the same drive and passion, we just said, ‘Let’s do this together,'” Champa explained to NBC News.

The rise of Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa to fame and now

The couple made their relationship public on Instagram shortly after they began dating officially in March 2017.

They launched their joint Instagram account in September 2018 and began flaunting their relationship on the platform.

Eventually, their content began to capture the attention of people, primarily teenagers, and mothers.

When TikTok became popular, the duo joined in June 2019 and took full advantage of it by posting various types of content.

And their transition to TikTok altered their lives. “We got into it not knowing where it was going,” Pierre said in the same interview with NBC News.

When it really started to turn into a career, we were like, ‘Did our relationship just turn into our career?'”

Similarly, in a May 2022 interview with Flaunt Magazine, Pierre stated, “We both moved to Los Angeles in the pursuit of acting, but with the rise of social media, we pivoted to TikTok as a way to help us get closer to our goals.”

“In a year, we went from renting a studio apartment to owning a house in Calabasas,” Nicky added.

TikTok’s platform assisted the couple in obtaining numerous rewards, including fame, money, and campaign deals with Spotify and Asos.

Pierre and Nicky gradually expanded into YouTube and launched their joint YouTube channel.

On their channel, the two began sharing glimpses of their personal lives as well as other content such as short clips and travel vlogs.

To summarize, the couple’s relationship has evolved over time and appears to be improving with each passing day.

Their bond appears to be intact, and it’s safe to assume that their fans will see more of them in the future.

The answer to whether Pierre and Nicky are married or not is no, at least for the time being.

There have been no reports of them getting engaged or married as of yet. Similarly, it is unknown whether they intend to settle down.

Not only has their relationship grown, but so has their social media presence.

Pierre has over 1 million Instagram followers, while Nicky has over 900,000 followers.

Similarly, they have over 1.15 million YouTube subscribers and a total of 24.6 million TikTok followers.

Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa are not the ideal couple

Pierre and Nicky’s online fan base has grown around their relationship, and their fans always see the couple as happy and picture-perfect.

Their sweet togetherness on social media, however, has drawn some criticism.

Bob the Drag Queen, a RuPaul’s Drag Race alumnus, is one of the critics.

Bob posted a TikTok video in late September 2021 in which he initially added one of Pierre and Nicky’s videos, and in the latter part of his video, he said;

“I’m going to have to block these two. They’re not doing anything wrong, but I have to prevent them from doing so.”

Pierre and Nicky responded to the criticisms by uploading a YouTube video titled ‘We are not perfect’ on December 19, 2021.

Pierre revealed in the video that the drag star’s remarks, as well as the commentators calling out Pierre and Nicky for projecting perfection, made him depressed.

Furthermore, he stated that he has occasional arguments with his partner, including yelling.

They would, however, have resolved those issues and had happy moments by the end of the day.

Later, in an interview with NBC News, Nicky stated that he and his boyfriend would not be stopping “pushing out happy content” anytime soon.

“That’s genuinely what we are most of the time and what we like to put out there,” he told the outlet.

We also didn’t have a good representation of a happy, healthy queer couple.”

“When I was growing up, it was always stories of suffering and pain — that we had to go through this negative journey through life.

‘I’m sick of that,’ I said. That is not useful to me. I don’t want to make that public. ‘I want to project happiness.'”

Since meeting Nicky, Pierre has begun to believe in the possibility of a “fairy-tale relationship,” he said.

Finally, he hoped that his and Nicky’s positive content would encourage their fans to believe what he believed.

But, despite their constant positivity, it can be difficult at times, especially when your fanbase is built around your relationship.

“Followers want to see you all the time, which can be challenging,” Pierre explained to Flaunt Magazine.

The couple is always present at any major Hollywood party or event. And, while this is what their fans want, it can become tiresome after a while.

“One of the most difficult aspects of being a public couple is the constant comparison and, at times, inability to be seen as individuals.”

Nicky added at the end of the interview with Flaunt Magazine that there is “more to us than us.”

Pierre then stated that while they have been serious on several occasions, they have also argued at times.
