Oscar Isaac discusses ‘Moon Knight’ with Jared Leto
When Oscar Isaac was discussing his performance with Leto, he mentioned that he had never heard of the character Moon Knight.
While the actor had never heard of his own character, he had heard of Jared’s Morbius.
In the same interview, Isaac discussed the filming process and revealed that the show was a limited series, implying that it would only be available for one season.
“I’m not sure how the process was for you because it’s a feature film, whereas we’re a limited series,” the Sucker Punch star explained.
Similarly, Isaac explained why he was pleased that Marvel chose to adapt the comics into a television series rather than a film.
He reasoned that because he and his team were not required to make hundreds of millions of dollars on the first weekend, there was plenty of room to experiment.

Over the course of about 50 years of storytelling, Isaac developed a distinct personality.
After completing his three film tenures as Poe Dameron in the Star Wars universe, the Robin Hood star initially declined to play Moon Knight and his other identities because he was hesitant to join a significant series.
But, after getting to know the character and perfecting his Steven Grant accent, Isaac decided to give it a shot, assuming they could agree to his terms.
Because Isaac wasn’t looking to return to anything major, he told Variety, “I was in a position to say, This is how I see it, and if you guys don’t see it that way, that’s okay, but maybe it’s not the right fit.”
Unlike other Marvel actors, Oscar Isaac is free to leave Moon Knight after a single season because the studio agreed with his interpretation of Grant and gave him a contract that only covered the first season’s six episodes.
“We all agreed that we’re going to focus on [Moon Knight season one],” he said.
Regardless, Isaac isn’t ruling out the possibility of seeing Steven Grant, Marc Spector, and Moon Knight again.
“And if there’s any kind of future,” he admitted to Variety, “I think it depends on if people like it, if people want to see more, and if we find a story that’s worth telling.”
