Jaxson made his NBA debut for the New Orleans Pelicans on October 10, 2019, scoring 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting in an 11-point loss to the Golden State Warriors.

On November 17, Jaxson made his first career start in place of the injured Derrick Favors in a 108-100 victory over the Golden State Warriors.
