Who is James Wade

James Wade is a darts player. James Wade is the fifth best dart player in the world, having won eleven major PDC titles as well as numerous minor titles like the Jocy Wilson Cup, Irish Masters, and Swiss Open.

“Form is fleeting, but class is permanent,” as the phrase goes in sports.

This exactly describes darts player James.

He went three years without a major win after making his professional darts debut.

It appeared that James would not achieve much as a darts player in his early years.

James, on the other hand, proved them all wrong with constant effort and dedication, and he now has won every major dart competition in his career.

Childhood

James Wade was born on April 6, 1983, in Aldershot, Hampshire, England.

His father’s name is Martin Wade, but his mother’s location is unknown.

Unfortunately, little is known about Wade’s family history or education.

Wade began seriously playing darts at the age of 14 and won his first competitive tournament, the Basingstoke Open.

Following that, he represented England in a young darts championship.

Even though he did not win the tournament, people recognized his talent and skills.

As a result, despite working as a mechanic, he opted to pursue darts as a vocation.

Nicknames

Wade has had several monikers over his career.

In 2006, his breakthrough year, he earned the moniker “The Gladiator.”

Wade eventually changed his nickname to 009, a play on James Bond’s 007 code.

Wade was also nicknamed as Spectacular since he was one of the few players who wore glasses.

Wade was sometimes referred to as The Wingman.

This name was ignored after James expressed his dislike for it.

Wade earned a new nickname, The Machine, after his Premier League debut in January 2008, which he has kept for years.

 Age, Height, and Body Dimensions

Wade’s birth year was 1983. James was born in the Chinese pig year.

James is also 185 cm tall and weighs 95 kg. Wade also has hazel eyes and brown hair.

His ethnicity is white, and he was born in the United Kingdom.

Wade is also an Aries, having been born in April. Aries is a creative and talented sign born on April 6th.

These folks have the ability to persuade others without becoming intrusive. Wade is thus a real Aries.

Family

James dated Soccer AM presenter Helen Chamberlain briefly in 2008, but they split up after two years.

But, as the phrase goes, real love comes at the most unexpected times.

In 2013, James met his real love, Sammi Marsh.

Marsh was a PDC “walk-on” gal who frequently appeared on stage with Wade.

That’s how these two couples fell in love.

They married on August 8, 2015, after dating for a while and knowing each other.

She is currently Wade’s manager, looking after him both professionally and personally.

On October 8, 2018, James and Helen had a baby son named Arthur.

However, before welcoming their first child, they had to undergo a miscarriage and an emotional investment in IVF therapy.

In an interview, James confessed that the pair had been through a lot of anguish and hardship in the last two years after losing their kid to miscarriage.

As a result, they kept the pregnancy a secret, and everyone was surprised when they revealed that they had a boy.
