Exclusive: Candid Conversation About NFTs, MusicFX

  • Only a few people in the digital world are as quick to learn as Cameron Chell.
  • Parker is a platinum-selling songwriter.
  • MusicFX will pave the way for new artist and fan engagement breakthroughs.
  • Everyone who joins will be entered into Parker’s Golden Ticket Sweepstakes.

Only a few people in the digital world are as quick to learn as Cameron Chell, and even faster to put what they’ve learned into action. I originally chatted with him last month about his NFT platform Vuele’s debut feature film, which grossed roughly $6 million.

Following that, he founded Motoclub Digital, a prime venue for vehicle enthusiasts and fans of automotive memorabilia.

Meanwhile, Chell has been the CEO of Draganfly Innovations Inc. and the founder of Currency Works for several years.

Is he going to stop? No, he doesn’t.

He is now the co-founder of MusicFX, CurrencyWorks’ newest NFT platform, and is preparing to make history alongside country singer-songwriter Parker McCollum with the launching of the latter’s 2022 Fan Club NFT on the new NFT platform.

Parker is the platinum-selling songwriter of ‘Pretty Heart,’ and he has just released his latest music video, ‘Falling Apart,’ off his critically acclaimed debut album Gold Chain Cowboy.

I had another open conversation with Chell to discuss his current work with Parker and the goal behind starting MusicFX, and he had some wonderful stuff to give.

Mr. Arun Katuwal: We’ve had two conversations in the last month.

How are things going for you these days?

Cameron Chell says: Hello, Arun. It’s lovely to hear from you again.

Thank you so much for your interest in our work. I’m doing incredibly well.

I’m quite thrilled about what MusicFX will do in the NFT area.

AK: Following your successful NFT ventures in the film sector, you appear to be eyeing the music industry.

Can you explain how your new MusicFX NFT platform works?

CC: Expanding our interests inside the entertainment business has always been an important component of our long-term strategy for growing the CurrencyWorks customer base, and because the music and film industries are so tightly linked, music NFTs are a natural evolution for us.

AK: When did you begin MusicFX?

CC: Music was on our radar when we first started planning our approach for entering consumer markets with NFT goods.

On December 7, we launched the MusicFX platform.

MusicFX will pave the way for new artist and fan engagement breakthroughs.

The platform allows fans to get fully invested in their favorite bands and musicians, while also allowing artists to develop a new type of relationship with their followers – one in which they may feel completely connected.

This ground-breaking strategy was made feasible by a collaboration between CurrencyWorks Inc.

and Crown & Ace Inc. (“Crown & Ace”), two established market leaders.

AK: As the co-head of MusicFX and the Executive Chairman of CurrencyWorks, you are now collaborating with country singer/songwriter Parker McCollum on his 2022 Fan Club NFT.

Please tell us about your collaboration.

CC: I’m thrilled to be working with Parker! He’s a rising star in country music, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t reach the heights of legends like Garth Brooks or George Strait.

His team has been fantastic to work with, and Parker has had significant involvement in how his NFTs look and, more importantly, the material included within them.

Working with Parker is a huge validation of our efforts to transform the music industry.

The NFTs available on MusicFX enable artists to develop a completely new form of relationship with their audience, one in which they can feel truly connected.

AK: What can we expect from the collaboration between MusicFX and Parker McCollum?

CC: That’s an excellent question, but I don’t want to ruin it for Parker’s admirers.

Parker is the main force behind his NFT fan club’s vision.

He adores his followers and wishes to develop something that will bring them closer to him and his music.

Parker frequently states that he would not be where he is now without the support of his supporters.

MusicFX will allow him and his followers to truly support one another as he continues on this great adventure.

AK: Let’s get right to the point – How does MusicFX intend to give the greatest consumer-focused NFT collectible experience to music enthusiasts and collectors?

CC: MusicFX will provide far more than just a collector experience, which is critical to what we offer and our message to artists and fans alike.

MusicFX is all about increasing interaction and elevating the artist/fan relationship to new heights.

Parker’s NFT, the Gold Chain Cowboy Club Black Card, entitles you to a 12-month membership in an elite club that rewards your support with experiences that money can’t buy.

The NFT is a method used by MusicFX to deliver these experiences and create relationships… Some may regard these as collectibles, but MusicFX is about much more.

AK: Do you have any unique offers for folks who want to register with MusicFX?

CC: As part of the cooperation with Parker, the first 1,000 Gold Chain Cowboy Club members will have priority access to the Black Card NFT, which will be delivered as a signed edition.

Everyone who joins will be entered into Parker’s Golden Ticket Sweepstakes, where Parker has personally selected some very special items to reward his admirers. More information is available for fans here.

AK: Also, how do you think a platform like yours may affect positive change in the music industry?

CC: Easy. Community. We’re forming a community around each artist, bringing interaction that social media alone cannot provide.

The artist receives the assistance they require to draw closer to their fan base, and the fans enjoy an experience that strengthens their support.

It would be quite easy to follow in the footsteps of others, but it is extremely deceptive to many fans as NFT collectors, who have no personal interest in the singer, are buying those NFTs, either as an investment or in the hopes of making a fast buck from genuine fans.

MusicFX is for the audience and the artist, who have control over how that relationship is rewarded.

AK: Is it also difficult to establish up a large platform like MusicFX during these difficult times?

CC: Our attention has always been drawn to the customer and the value that our team delivers to the project.

We are fortunate to have a passionate and devoted crew.

Our staff has always worked remotely, and while meeting clients in person is always preferable, we have been able to work with our team and customers remotely.

AK: Finally, how big do you think NFT platforms will be in the next five years?

CC: The market was worth a few hundred million dollars at the start of the year.

We’re talking about billions of dollars by 2022, and the consumer side is definitely expanding. Understanding of this digital technology is expanding so quickly that it will no longer be the exclusive province of fintech investors; everyone will want a piece of the action.
