Egbule spent his four years of college at the University of Houston.

Since starting college, this Texas native has made an immediate effect on the team.

Emeke spent much of his freshman year on special teams. But he did play all 14 games.

In his rookie season, he had 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

He also participated in the Peach Bowl and won the game. He describes it as his favorite college football memory.

Later in his sophomore year, he appeared in all 13 games, starting five of them.

He made 20 tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery, and scored his first career touchdown.

Egbule also remarked that his favorite college football play was his first touchdown.

In 2017, Egbule was promoted to the starting lineup. He started each of the 12 games.

He also had 60 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one fumble recovery to his credit.

Egbule started every game during his senior year at Houston in 2018.

He had 69 tackles, 5.5 for loss, a couple of sacks, a career-high two interceptions, and four fumble recoveries at the end of the season. With seven pass breakups, he led all AAC linebackers.

Overall in his college career, Egbule finished with 164 tackles, including 98 solos.
