Early Basketball Career
Demetrius began playing basketball after joining the junior squad at Marian High School.
He was awarded to the All-State Underclass First Team after leading his school team in the final game with 22.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.0 steals.
As a senior player in Marian, Jackson made his squad and finished as the runner-up for the Indian Mr. Bashonor award. His final high school grade at Marian was 1,934 points.
Jackson was chosen for the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Boys Game thanks to his success in high school basketball.
