Candy Stevens was born around 1940. Her birthplace is unknown, but she was born in Los Angeles, California.

Candy was the ex-wife of the infamous criminal Charles Stevens.

Stevens married Manson in the late 1950s, but they divorced in the early 1960s. They had one child together.

According to author Ed Sanders’ book, The Family: The Story of Charles Manson’s Dune Buggy Attack Battalion, police identified Stevens as a Caucasian woman.

People assumed she came from a broken family, which may have influenced her career choice.

Is Candy or Leona her real name?

Leona Rae Stevens was the real name of Manson’s second wife. Candy was Leona’s alias for her street prostitution job.

Candy met Manson when she was in her late teens. It was most likely in the mid-1950s.

She began working as a prostitute for him soon after meeting him, though it is unclear whether she was already in the profession or if Charles forced her to do so.

She was just another pimp from whom he made his living.

In December 1959, her late husband attempted to expand his territory by driving Candy and another girl from California to Lordsburg, New Mexico, to perform tricks.

Charlie was facing new federal charges of violating the Mann Act, which prohibited transporting women across state lines for prostitution.

Candy Stevens and Charles Manson divorced in what year?

Following his arrest, Charles attempted to sabotage investigators by marrying Stevens; the law prohibited wives from testifying against their husbands.

According to Lis Wiehl and Caitlin Rother’s book, Hunting Charles Manson: The Quest for Justice in the Days of Helter Skelter, they married in 1959.

Despite this, Stevens ended up testifying against the late murderer, and he was sent back to prison.

She testified as a “material witness” as part of a deal to have her own charges dropped.

Leona became pregnant with Manson’s child in March 1960.

Then, in September 1960, she gave birth to Charles Luther Manson, Charlie’s son.

Charlie’s second child. According to The Life and Times of Charles Manson, he was born in early September 1961.

Leona and Manson divorced in January 1964, and the mother was granted full custody of Charles Luther Manson. Candy was served with a court order in Denver, Colorado.

What Became of Candy Stevens’ Son?

According to Film Daily, Candy Stevens and Leona’s only son, Charles Luther Manson, has changed his name to Jay Charles Warner.

While he largely avoided the spotlight due to his infamous father, sources reported that he died in 2007 of unknown causes.

Before Leona, the infamous criminal Manson, who was born in Ohio, was married to Rosalie Jean Willis.

He married her first. Willis, a hospital waitress, married Stevens’ ex in West Virginia in January 1955, when the latter was 21.

Charles supported Rosalie and himself by stealing cars and working as a part-time auto mechanic.

They used to live in Los Angeles. Charles was imprisoned for driving a stolen car across state lines while married to Willis.

He was there for three years.

While the Californian perpetrator was in prison, his ex-wife, Rosalie, gave birth to their son, Charles Manson Jr.

She had begun to live with another man by 1957. Willis and Manson filed for divorce a year later, in 1958.

Charles’ first son committed suicide

Charles Manson Jr., like his half-brother, Charles’ first son with Willis, legally changed his name to Jay White.

This was done to separate himself from his father’s legacy.

According to All That’s Interesting, White pulled over along a lonely stretch of Kansas highway in 1993.

He used a gun to commit suicide there.

Although the reason is unknown, many believe it was due to White’s embarrassment over his relationship with his father.

Where Is Candy Stevens Now That She Is Divorced?

After their divorces, both of Manson’s ex-wives, Rosalie Willis and Leona Stevens, had little contact with their ex-husband.

They attempted to shield their children from the infamy and public attention that the media and curious onlookers wished to shower on them.

There will be little to no information about Candy Stevens’ current location in the future.

Candy’s ex-husband, Manson, on the other hand, became engaged to 26-year-old Afton Elaine ‘Star’ Burton while still in prison in November 2014.

He’d even obtained a marriage license.

While still in prison, Stevens’ ex-husband, Charles Manson, proposed to 26-year-old Afton Elaine ‘Star’ Burton in November 2014.

Polaris is the source. Evelyn Burton had been paying visits to Charles Manson in prison for at least nine years.

She also maintained several websites claiming his innocence.

They couldn’t marry, however, because Manson’s license had expired in February 2015.

Burton allegedly only wanted to marry Manson so that she and a friend could later use his body as a tourist attraction after his death.

She admitted on her website that she was unable to marry the notorious man due to his illness.

Manson, on the other hand, died on November 19, 2017 (at the age of 83) in Bakersfield, California.
