Ben Simmons answers an NBA analyst who said he was overrated
Ben Simmons came under fire while sitting out last week’s game due to COVID. On the other hand, he went for a quick shot. Simmons reacted to Justin’s commentary during Philadelphia’s win over the Wizards on Friday by posting a humorous photo of Kuther on his Instagram account.
“I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll get chastised for it, but Ben Simmons is one of, if not the, most overrated players in the NBA,”
Kutcher made the remarks during the third quarter of the Wizards-76ers game on NBC Sports Washington.
“People aren’t paying attention to what Tobias Harris is doing on the court because he’s gotten so much love and attention.”
On January 15, 2018, Simons returned to Kutcher’s Instagram photo and shared it on his story.
In the photo, we can see Kutcher wearing sunglasses, a bathrobe, and holding a drink.
He captioned the shot, “Another casual.”
Kutcher, who also works for Fox Sports, was justified in referring to his hot take as “flak.”
On Twitter, former NBA player Kendrick Perkins chastised Kutcher for his views on Simmons.
“Did he just claim Ben Simmons is the league’s most overrated player?” He should be ashamed.
This has to be the most upsetting thing I’ve heard this year.
He is aware that Simmons is the leading candidate for DPOY?! #ridiculous.” Perkins penned.

Kutcher’s Second Opinion
Kutcher, on the other hand, backed up his judgment of Simmons, taking to Twitter shortly after the game to confirm his view while also emphasizing that he didn’t think the three-time All-Star was poor.
“Yep, I stated Ben Simmons is one of the NBA’s most overrated players, and I stand by that.
I didn’t say he was BAD, just that he’s not as wonderful as everyone thinks he is.
GREAT defender, and potential DPOY, but I believe he was selected to the All-League/All-Star Teams solely on hype. And..goodnight.”
Simmons is averaging 16 points, nearly eight assists, and eight rebounds per game.
