Senior High School

After enrolling at Capital Preparatory Magnet School, Drummond discovered his love for basketball. Drummond averaged 12.7 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 blocks per game as a rookie.

Later in his sophomore season, he put up impressive numbers, averaging 20.2 points per game, 16.6 rebounds per game, 7.2 blocks per game, and 4.5 steals per game.

Drummond transferred to St. Thomas Moore High School for his junior year. He was a key member of the team that won the National Prep Championship in his senior year.

ESPN placed Drummond as the number two player in the country as a result of his performance. However, following graduation, he did not declare college.

Despite his plans to stay in high school for a year, he enrolled at UConn at the last minute.

Career in College

In college, he only played for one year. He started 30 of UConn’s 34 games during his lone season. He finished the season with an average of 10 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game.

He also had the most rebounds and blocks on the team. In addition, he had double-doubles in ten games.

Drummond was also named to the Big East All-Rookie Team and Rookie of the Year. UConn, on the other hand, was knocked out of the NCAA tournament in the first round in 2012.

The Detroit Pistons selected Andre with the 9th overall choice in the 2012 NBA Draft.

Drummond averaged 7.9 points per game, 7.6 rebounds per game, 1.0 steals per game, and 1.6 blocks per game in 60 games as a rookie. He was also named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

He won the NBA Rising Star Challenge MVP award the following year, on February 14, 2014. He scored 30 points and collected 25 rebounds throughout the game.

Selection of All-Stars

Drummond started the 2015-16 season with 11 double-doubles in a row. Drummond set a career-high with 29 rebounds and 25 points in a loss to the Indiana Pacers on November 3, 2015.

On December 18, 2015, Drummond set a career-high with 33 points in a 147-144 victory over the Chicago Bulls.

He missed 23 free shots in a game on January 20, 2016, breaking the NBA record for most missed free throws in a game.

He also set a Pistons record for most free throw attempts with 36 in the same game. Drummond was also named for his first-ever NBA All-Star Game on January 28, 2016.

In his first All-Star appearance, he had 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 block in 17.6 minutes. Drummond was instrumental in the Pistons’ eighth-place finish in the Eastern Conference.

In his debut postseason series, though, his team went on to lose 4-0 to eventual winners Cleveland Cavilers. Despite this, he became the first player in NBA history to lead the league in rebounding.

Career stats

Drummond surpassed 5,000 career rebounds in the first quarter of a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 25, 2017. He became the Pistons’ sixth player to reach that mark.

Drummond had 30 points, 24 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 4 assists in a 98-95 loss to the Utah Jazz on January 24, 2018. He did, however, have 2,000 offensive rebounds in that game.

Furthermore, at the age of 34 years and 167 days, he became the NBA’s youngest player to reach the milestone.

No other player has had more 20/20 games than Drummond, who has 20 since his debut in 2012.

He also had 24 points and 20 rebounds in a 93-89 victory over the Orlando Magic.

Drummond went on to set a new Pistons record for most double-doubles in a single season with 67 in April of 2019.

Cavaliers of Cleveland

Drummond was dealt with the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 6th. Drummond is currently averaging 17.5 points per game, 13.5 rebounds per game, and 2.6 assists per game in 25 games this season.

However, after being sidelined due to injury, Jaret Allen has taken his place in the starting lineup. So, according to reports, the Cavs are attempting to move him before the deadline.

On March 28, 2021, Drummond was moved to the Los Angeles Lakers, joining LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the court.

He has started all 21 games with the Lakers, averaging 11.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game in 24 minutes.

Drummond was chosen to represent the United States at the 2014 FIBA World Cup. He averaged 3.0 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game in eight games.

He also had 6 points and 2 rebounds in the gold medal win over Serbia. He has already represented the United States in two different age groups.

He also competed in the FIBA U-17 World Championship and the FIBA Americas U-16 Championship for the United States. In both tournaments, the United States was victorious.

Girlfriends, Children, and Personal Life

Andre Drummond began dating actress Jennette McCurdy in August 2013. Their relationship, however, only lasted a month.

Drummond began seeing Candice Brooks later in 2015. He began dating Jenna Shea following a split. Drummond, though, told TMZ that “we are not dating” when he was discovered hanging out with her.

Rumors began to circulate in 2018 that Drummond was the father of two children with two different Instagram models.

The first is Deon King, a newborn boy with Abigail Russo, and Aubrey EllaRose, a baby girl with Elizabeth Costadoni. In the beginning, he denied being the father of the children.

Later on, he was discovered spending time with Deon and Aubery. He’s even posted vlogs of himself attending children’s birthday parties on YouTube.

McCurdy admits to having never heard of the NBA player before, but it was only because he used to refer to her as a lady crush that she struck up a conversation with him.

She also mentioned that going on a date was a spur-of-the-moment, impulsive decision because their initial discussion was so awkward. She also didn’t think twice about making her first kiss a horrible one.

Andre gave her a necklace one day and proposed to her, bending down on his knees, to be his girlfriend.

Even though she knew it was a poor idea, she had no choice but to say yes. She called him a few days later to clarify.

Body Measurements & Playing style

On the basketball court, Andre is difficult to overlook. Andre Drummond is 6 feet 10 inches tall and weighs roughly 279 pounds.

Furthermore, Drummond has admitted in the past that he lied about his height being 7 feet. Until 2019, he kept his hair short and shaved.

Drummond, on the other hand, has been rocking the dreds hairdo for the past couple of years. He has, nevertheless, always kept his beard.

Drummond’s body is covered in tattoos. He has a friendship tattoo on his left wrist that represents peace, love, and optimism.

He also has a lion tattoo on one arm and the word “faith” written on the other wrist.

He has a lot of tattoos on his back, mostly. Drummond has 11 things tattooed on his back in all. In addition, he has his mother’s and sister’s names tattooed on his fingers.

Rebounding is one of his primary assets. His quickness allows him to rebound the ball more quickly than his opponent. That is why he has led the NBA in rebounding since 2018.

However, despite his ability to make plays on the inside, his free throw percentage limits his offensive potential.

He’s also an old-school big man who knows how to score in the paint and grab rebounds with his size and strength.

Nude Photos, Accusations

As previously stated, it was not a smooth breakup! The entire separation thing had gotten out of hand. Because of her naked images that were posted online, McCurdy (then 21 years old) was all over the internet.

She was in her underwear, taking a selfie, and it was most likely a private photo that was only given to her loved ones. In her defense, McCurdy claimed that Andre was a key figure in the leak.

On Twitter, Google, and Bing, the images were all over the place.

Some speculated that the photos were leaked in order for Andre to exact vengeance. Some even claimed it was Jennette’s idea to make a big deal out of the news in order to paint him as a horrible character.

Andre also posted this scene on his Vine account, saying, “Sometimes you just have to live and learn from your mistakes.” You have to keep moving forward and pushing.”

He recorded himself saying these comments calmly, most likely in response to McCurdy’s statements.

Drummond has been a global ambassador for Special Olympics since his rookie year. He is now working with a number of special Olympics competitors in a variety of national and international tournaments.

Drummond was also honored with the NBA Cares Community Assists Award in February 2016. He received the monthly award for his dedication and efforts to make a difference in their community.

Drummond was an honorary coach for NBA Cares Special Olympics. He also assisted with the repackaging of 110000 pounds of food for distribution to 30,000 Canadians.

He also backed the FlintNow fund, which aims to provide clean water and disaster relief in Flint, Michigan.

Drummond had always intended to make a difference in the community since joining the NBA.

Relief Covid 19

Drummond gave 10,000 headphones to the school in cooperation with JBL, which will aid students in their online studies.

Drummond also donated $1,00,000 to the Middlesex Health Emergency Response Fund, which will be used to acquire safety gear, oxygen, and other necessary supplies.

He also assisted with the donation of pandemic-affected foods.

He also took part in the ESPN NBA2k20 competition to collect money for the Covid 19 charity.

Drummond has a liking for music in addition to basketball. It’s no surprise given he may be seen dancing and freestyling in court.

Many athletes have attempted to become music artists but have failed.

But, rather than playing other music, he tried to release his own rap song from the beginning as a DJ.

Finally, in 2018, Drummond releases his first album, “FYI,” which features eight party-style tracks and a few collaborations.

Furthermore, Drummond refers to music-making as a hobby rather than a profession.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing Fortnite.

Is he denying Frank Vogel as a coach?

Well, it appears that the Lakers aren’t happy with his play, and Andre isn’t happy with his coach, Frank Vogel, either, as he takes a jab at him after a fan called him out on Instagram.

Andre, one of the best rebounders in the game today, has not lived up to his full potential with the Lakers.

He was supposed to step up when the team needed him the most, but he’s simply becoming ineffective on offense.

Moreover, the Lakers wanted him to play in the frontcourt alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but following this social media post, it appears that this plan is now a big no-no.

He disclaimed Frank Vogel after a fan called him out on Instagram for his less-than-expected performance.

Instead of dismissing or accepting it as constructive criticism, he disclaimed Frank Vogel.
