Who is Diane Sawyer?
The name Diane Sawyer is well-known to Good Morning America viewers on ABC News. Prior to becoming a renowned TV journalist, Diane began her career as a member of the White House staff under President Richard Nixon.
She co-hosted Good Morning America for almost ten years (1999-2009).
When suddenly something dreadful happened that rocked the foundations of her happiness, Diane was leading a balanced work-life balance.
But what was the horror that this 72-year-old journalist had experienced?

When another tragedy occurred, Diane was still getting over the death of her mother, Jean W. Sawyer, who had died in October 2014 at the age of 94.
The 26-year relationship between her and Oscar-winning actor and director Mike Nichols came to an end, but it was not a mutual decision to split ways.
Every mortal being’s ultimate destiny is to experience death.
Mike passed away on November 19th, exactly one month after Jean’s passing due to a deadly heart attack.
He was 83 years old.
An estate owned by Frank Campbell hosted Mike’s funeral.
When Diane and Mike were both traveling back to the US from Paris, they first met at the airport.
At the time, Mike was 54 and Diane was 40.
Diane reportedly had not done her hair and was hiding in the airport lounge when Mike unexpectedly appeared in front of her and declared Diane to be his hero.
But Diane responded with a complement of her own, calling Mike her hero and even proposing a lunch date.
The couple spent approximately 14 meals together after Mike earlier disclosed that Diane intended to question him for 60 minutes. Mike agreed.
On April 29, 1988, Mike and Diane later got married.
Diane wasn’t Mike’s first wife, but he was Diane’s first spouse.
Prior to Patricia Scott, Margo Callas, and Annabel Davis-Goff, Mike was married three times.
However, none of them lasted very long before becoming divorced.
Diane had two boyfriends in the past, including actor Warren Beatty and congressman Bill Bradley, even though she hadn’t married before meeting Mike.
Despite the fact that Diane and Mike weren’t parents, Mike had three children from his previous marriages who Diane cherished, notably her stepson Max, with whom she was also seen walking to Mike’s burial while holding hands.
After a while of living alone, Diane was eventually seen in 2016 with her ex-boyfriend Bill Bradley.
The two appeared at ease with each other as they enjoyed a nice supper at Molos in Weehawken, New Jersey.
