Early Career

Lio made his wrestling debut in 2014. His wrestling training came from MCW Training Center.

At Tribute to the Legends, where he made his debut, he took home the Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup XV.

Honor Ring

Lio participated in Ring of Honor Wrestling Entertainment, popularly known as Ring of Honor, after competing in Independent Wrestling events.

He made his debut in 2015 and defeated Vinny Marseglia. Later, he faced Jason Kincaid and won by defeating Brian Fury as well.

Rush was signed by NXT after winning his fights, and they gave him a contract. On October 4, following his signing, he made his debut on television.
