Melissa Murray is a New York University Professor of Law and an American legal and academic scholar. Melissa Murray also co-hosts the podcast Strict Scrutiny. She also contributes to MSNBC on a regular basis.
Early Life and Childhood
Melissa Murray was born in the United States on August 25, 1975, in St. Lucie, Florida.

Murray is the daughter of Doreen A. Murray and the late Dr. Eric H. Murray. Her parents were also Jamaican immigrants who came to the United States to provide their children with a full range of educational opportunities.
