Awkwafina’s First Date Was Complicated Due to Peer Pressure
When the 2020 Golden Globe Award winner graduated from college, Awkwafina went on her first date.
In an exclusive video with Vogue magazine in 2018, the actress discussed her first date, which she went on because of peer pressure.
She stated that all of her friends were in relationships and had boyfriends at the time, and she was determined to prove to herself that she, too, could have a boyfriend.
Her friend later set her up on a blind date.
The actress remembered the man as cute, 100 pounds, five feet two, with the figure of a graphic designer.
Although she originally liked the man, she later changed her opinion.
She mentioned that she didn’t like his lunch selection, which was the first red flag for her.
“It became dull,” she went on to remark.

During that conversation, she discussed a wide range of topics, including her professional and personal lives.
Among other things, she spoke briefly about her personal life.
She stated that she was in a happy relationship with her long-term lover. “I’m very pleased.
“I’m in love,” the 33-year-old actress declared.
Continuing the same line, Awkwafina added that, while she is in love and happy, she is unsure if she will ever be the type of woman who can retire into a family.
I’m not sure I’ll ever be the type of woman who can settle down and start a family.
She did not, however, reveal the identity of her partner.
Furthermore, the comedian/TV host has not acknowledged her relationship since that interview.
