Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul: Who Won?

The megafight between YouTube sensation Logan Paul and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather remains strange. To put it in context, while Floyd Mayweather was battling Conor McGregor in the ring, Logan Paul was uploading YouTube videos with names like “setting my brother’s garden on fire.”

Logan Paul towered over Floyd Mayweather in a boxing ring four years later.

This battle appeared weird even to Logan Paul, who said after the fight that nothing is feasible.

His brother, Jake Paul, was inspired by him and now believes he can compete against famous names in combat sports such as Conor McGregor, Gervonta Davis, and even Canelo Alvarez.

Here’s a recap of what happened between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather in their exhibition fight on June 6, 2021-

Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather – Fight Results and Stats

While Mayweather is always confident in his talents, he is also astute in his decisions both inside and outside of the ring.

Given the evident size disparity, there was always a tiny chance of a knockout or being outmatched in the bout.

As a result, this fight was not sanctioned, was not officially scored by judges, and no winner was declared at the conclusion.

Logan Paul was never supposed to last against Mayweather, let alone outbox him.

However, the 26-year-old displayed good ring skills against the boxing veteran and went the distance with him.

Logan Paul’s ability to survive against ‘Pretty Boy’ gained him a moral win and demonstrated that ‘father time’ had taken a toll on Mayweather.

However, the fight statistics indicated that Floyd Mayweather had yet another easy victory.

He outboxed and outclassed the native of Ohio.

‘Money’ landed more jabs with his usual stick and move’ style, demonstrated more power, and was the better striker that night.

Unofficial scoresheets

While there were no official scorecards, numerous boxing analysts, experts, and even other boxers gave their own interpretations and renditions of the fight’s scorecards.

Floyd Mayweather lost rounds 1 and 2 but went on to dominate the rest of the fight, according to boxing commentator Dan Rafael.

Logan Paul’s best round, according to Marc Raimondi, was round 7. He remarked that Floyd Mayweather did not appear to be very active in that round and gave Paul a 10-9 score.

Even his brother, Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul, said Logan Paul was winning the fight before round 7.
