According to Atlanta police, the driver of a Hyundai Elantra was traveling west when he collided with a Nissan Murano SUV from behind, forcing it to spin out onto the shoulder.
The Elantra’s rider proceeded to check on the Murano.
He returned to his car after which Kiley’s automobile hit him, followed by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, stated the police.
Furthermore, investigators stated that the victim was not inside the vehicle at the time of the collisions.
The victim met his fate and the medic pronounced him dead at the site.
Grady Memorial Hospital soon began treating Kiley’s injuries.
Her relatives reported she suffered a laceration of her brachiocephalic artery, renal laceration, trauma and fracturing of the sternum, laceration of the spleen, and laceration of the liver.
The injuries were severe and potentially fatal.
Kiley’s injuries caused her to hemorrhage internally.
The first 11 days of her stay at Grady Memorial Hospital were filled with pain and fear.
A few days later, she experienced a TIA, sometimes known as a “mini-stroke.”
Her lacerated brachial artery caused a blood clot, necessitating surgery.
Fortunately, she did not lose any motor skills on her left side.
She did, however, run the danger of detecting flaws in that region for the rest of her life.
