the long-time boyfriend turned husband Emmanuel Straschnov.
Straschnov is a French entrepreneur and the creator of the information technology firm Bubble.
The now-married couple met in 2015-16, while Chen was studying for a four-year Master of Fine Arts in Drama at The Juilliard School in New York.
Chen and Straschnov fell in love and started dating.
They agreed, however, to keep their friendship private and away from the media and public eye.
After years of dating, they decided to make things official.
On May 18, 2019, the two exchanged their vows as they walked down the aisle.
Their wedding was solely attended by family and friends and took place in Paris.
On May 21, Chen took to her Instagram account to announce her wedding and present her boyfriend to the world.
She had tweeted a handful of photographs from her wedding and captioned it by writing,
“Thank you all so much for being there on May 18 and helping us create this amazing moment.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have you all in my life. Most importantly, I must thank my parents and… Emmanuel for his love.”
Since then, the couple has relished the marital phase of their lives.

On September 6, Straschnov uploaded a photo from the film Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings,
which was regarded as an example. In the image, Chen and
Tony Leung’s characters (who play husband and wife in the film) were looking intensely into one other’s eyes.
And it appears that Chen’s real-life husband, Straschnov, was envious after viewing it, as he captioned the photo, “If only my wife could look at me like this…”
The Chinese American actress replied to her husband’s jealous message and said,
“You know you’re doing a good job when your hubby gets envious.”
The sentence was followed up by a Face with tears of joy emoji.
Based on those, it is apparent that the husband and wife team has formed a strong bond and knows how to have fun.

Chen announced through Instagram on February 14, 2021, that she and Straschnov had given birth to a daughter.
“The past 10 months have been a fantastic trip, filled with unknowns,
amazement, love, and loads of joy. Our hearts are full as new parents,
and we look forward to every day with this little princess,” Chen captioned the picture.
The actress has only posted a couple of images of her baby after her birth.
It appears that the new parents are keeping their daughter out of the spotlight,
as Chen has yet to reveal her baby’s name or expose her face in photographs.
Chen has always kept her face disguised in photos of/with her daughter,
either by camera angles or by applying stickers. Despite all that,
one thing is sure the duo is having a fantastic time as parents.

Before marrying her present husband, the 5 feet 7-inch tall actress had already exchanged wedding vows.
Chen was formerly married to Daniel Sit, a businessman.
According to Daniel Sit, they married in 2007 but opted to keep it a secret for Chen’s acting career.
They divorced in 2013 after being married for around 6 years.
Following that, they both kept their love lives under wraps.
It was recently revealed on September 14, 2021, that Sit is now engaged to a woman named Cherie.
