Ali signed off on a deal accepting a $50,000 cash settlement from the promoter while in the hospital.
That pattern of behavior followed King throughout his promotional career.
Several fighters accused him of defrauding them of big sums of money.
Tyson, who has had a long feud with King, characterized him as “ruthless,” “deplorable,” and “greedy.”
He sued King for $100 million, alleging that the promoter defrauded him of millions over a decade.
King reached an out-of-court settlement for $14 million.
Holmes, Terry Norris, and Lennox Lewis are among the other boxers who have sued King.
