In Game 3, the Utah Jazz defeats the youthful Grizzlies.
The top-seeded Utah Jazz have more playoff experience, while the Memphis Grizzlies are made up of young guys with little postseason experience. Despite their expertise, the Grizzlies are giving the Jazz a run for their money.
The same thing happened in Game 3 of the playoffs between the two teams, with both sides fighting for the win until the last second of the quarter.
The Jazz, on the other hand, came out on top against the inexperienced Grizzlies.
THEY DEFEATED THE GRIZZLIES 121-111, TAKING A 2-1 LEAD IN THE SERIES.
The Jazz was led to victory by Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell.
Despite the setback, Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks continued their historic night to keep the Jazz on their toes.
The Jazz got off to a fast start, seizing the lead in the opening quarter.
To begin the quarter, Donovan Mitchell found Rudy Gobert for a reverse layup.
On the next possession, he made a layup.
While Ja Morant assists Jaren Jackson Jr. on a three-point shot.
The Jazz took a four-point lead at 7-3 approximately two minutes into the quarter.
Dillon Brooks then hit a jumper, and Royce O’Neal responded with a three-pointer.
On the next possession, Mike Conley hit a three-pointer.
Kyle Anderson made a jumper over Mitchell.
Mitchell promptly responded with a three-pointer. Morant made a layup.
About halfway through the quarter, they were 18-9, with the Grizzlies behind the Jazz by nine points.
With less than five minutes remaining in the quarter, Brooks hit a jumper and Morant hit a floater, trimming the advantage to one point.
O’Neal hit another three-pointer, and Ja Morant promptly responded with a basket on the other end.
Following that, O’Neal scored another three-pointer, increasing the advantage to 9 points with 2:20 left in the first quarter.
Morant then made a layup, and Jordan Clarkson responded with a jumper.
With 53.3 seconds left, Joe Ingles hit a three-pointer.
Rudy Gobert blocked Ja Morant at the rim and Georges Niang hit a three-pointer.
The Jazz led by 11 points at the end of the quarter, 22-34.
In the second quarter, the Jazz continued to dominate the Grizzlies.
Rudy Gobert got the second quarter started with a slam off Conley’s feed.
On the next possession, Tyus Jones hit a three-pointer, and Anderson added a basket.
Grayson Allen responded with a three-pointer after Conley hit a three-pointer.
With 8:20 left in the quarter, the Jazz led by 12 points. Conley’s lob to Gobert extends the Jazz’s lead.
Mitchell responded with a layup after Allen hit a three-pointer.

On the Jazz’s miss, Brooks drove directly to the rim for a floater.
Clarkson hit a three-pointer, and Brooks responded with a layup.
Conley hit a three-pointer, and Bojan Bogdanovic hit a three-pointer.
Grayson Allen responded with a three-pointer, then Anderson intercepted a Jazz pass and scored on the other end.
The quarter concluded 62-51, with the Jazz regaining an 11-point advantage.
The Jazz extended their lead in the third quarter
Conley began the third quarter with a three-point shot. Morant attempted a jumper but missed, and Jonas Valanciunas tipped it in.
Valanciunas then hit a jumper, and Conley responded with a three-pointer.
He also foreshadowed Jaren Jackson’s missed layup.
Valanciunas’ miss for the bucket made it 68-59 with 9 minutes left in the quarter.
Brooks hit a three-pointer, and Mitchell followed with a bucket.
Jackson drove to the basket and made a layup.
Halfway in the quarter, Brook’s spin jumper cut the Jazz’s lead to six points.
Mitchell subsequently made a layup to widen the lead.
Desmond Bane shoots a three-pointer to cut the lead to five points.
Mitchell responded with a jumper.
With less than four minutes remaining, Allen hit a three-pointer off Morant’s pass to cut the Jazz’s lead to four points.
Bogdanovic responded with a fadeaway shot and a three-pointer on the following play.
Clarkson hit another three-pointer to increase the margin to 12 points.
Morant then produced a jumper.
Morant set up Anderson for a three-pointer to make it 80-90 with 1:41 left in the quarter.
After nearly losing to the Grizzlies, Gobert comes up with a bucket.
Clarkson hit a step-back three-pointer with 6.3 seconds left in the game.
The Jazz took the lead at the end of the quarter, 96-85.
The Jazz won the game in the fourth quarter.
With around two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, they led 96-89.
With less than nine minutes remaining in the first, Jones shoots a three-pointer but misses it, and Anderson tipped it off, trimming the margin to three points.
Clarkson subsequently made a basket, and Allen responded with a layup while Gobert was guarding him.
ALLEN THEN DROPPED A THREE-POINTER ON THE NEXT POSSESSION, tying the game with less than eight minutes remaining.
Mitchell attempted a layup but missed, and Gobert took the failed shot.
Morant promptly produced a bucket on the other end.
Conley then hit a three-pointer, and Morant responded with a three-pointer of his own.
Halfway through the third quarter, the Jazz led 105-103.
Brooks then hit a jumper to tie the game once more.
With 4:52 remaining in the game, the Grizzlies seized a 105-107 lead.
Conley’s lob to Gobert re-tied the game.
The Grizzlies led 107-109 after Mitchell drew a foul, dropped a shot, and seized a point lead.

The Jazz went on a 12-0 run to win the game 121-111 over the Grizzlies.
The Jazz won because of Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley.
The Jazz took an 11-point lead in the first quarter and proceeded to dominate the Grizzlies until the Grizzlies rallied and leveled the game in the fourth.
The Grizzlies even gained the lead in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, but the Jazz used Conley and Mitchell to go on a 12-0 run to upset the Grizzlies.
Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Jazz with 29 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists.
After Mitchell’s performance, Utah Jazz Coach Quin Snyder stated,
“When you have a guy with that much competitive fire, he’s going to make some things happen.”
Against his previous squad, Mike Conley Jr. had 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists.
“Honestly, I’m just delighted to win,” Conley remarked afterward.
“This is going to be a difficult series.”
Coming into a setting like this, which I’m so acquainted with, and hearing the booing definitely sets the tone.
“I’m overjoyed with the victory.”
The Jazz’s starters all scored in double figures
Rudy Gobert had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Bojan Bogdanovic had 15 points, six rebounds, and an assist.
Royce O’Neale had 12 points and seven rebounds.
Jordan Clarkson led the Jazz bench with 15 points.
“We have a selfless set of guys that have stuck with us.”

“It was the entire team,” Jazz head coach Quin Snyder explained.
Late in the game, the Jazz’s defense helped them seal the victory.
“We’ve spoken about wanting to do better defensively as the game progresses,” Snyder said.

Despite the setback, Ja Morant maintained his stellar play.
The young Grizzlies team fought till the closing seconds of the game.
After falling behind by as much as 11 points in the first three quarters, they managed to spice up the game in the fourth.
The Grizzlies rallied and even seized the lead in the final minutes of the game before succumbing to the Jazz’s defense.
Despite the loss, Ja Morant continued his stellar shooting with 28 points, 3 rebounds, and 7 assists.
With this feat, Ja becomes the fourth player in NBA history to score 100 points or more in his first three postseason games.
He joins Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the Hall of Fame.
Aside from Ja, Dillon Brooks had an outstanding night, scoring 28 points, grabbing three rebounds, and dishing out two assists.
Kyle Anderson had a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds, as well as 5 assists.
Jonas Valanciunas also had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, as well as five assists.
Grayson Allen, on the other hand, scored 17 points and grabbed three rebounds.
