Early Career

He was initially signed with the University of North Carolina as a four-star recruit from Crestwood High School. After a year there, he was transferred to the Southeastern Conference’s University of South Carolina.

At Crestwood High School, he played for Keith Crolley and Roosevelt Nelson, and he inspired Knight to a 9-4 record and a AAA playoff triumph in 2013.

He was named to the 2014 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl, a South Carolina all-star game, and was named all-region.

In 2013, he carried 181 times for 1,608 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior, and he also tallied 1,008 yards and 17 scores as a sophomore.

After redshirting in 2016, he played for the South Carolina Gamecocks in the SEC for two years, 2017-18, rushing for 799 yards as a running back.

He carried the ball 4.8 yards on average in 20 games for South Carolina.

Williams also had nine receptions for 152 yards and a touchdown. He apparently finished second on the team with 95 carries for 142 yards and one touchdown as a redshirt sophomore.

During his freshman season with North Carolina, he appeared in six games and rushed 19 times for 57 yards.

He was also ranked 11th in the nation as a running back prospect out of high school, with offers from Clemson, Wisconsin, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Duke, Michigan, Mississippi State, NC State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Virginia.

He is also a member of the ESPN Top 300 and is considered the best player in South Carolina by ESPN.

Career Opportunities at BYU

Because of his inconsistent South Carolina role, he visited the transfer portal after finishing his undergrad degree.

As soon as Williams’ name appeared in the gateway, BYU offered him directly, bypassing the Gamecocks and Tar Heels. BYU was chosen over Fresno State and Marshall by Williams.

He immediately began playing as a Cougars running back while being in the limelight. In addition, BYU head coach Kalani Sitaki described him as a rising leader.

He only had seven carries in his debut game against Utah, despite being on the starting lineup and winning over the Tennessee team.

Despite this, he averaged 6.4 yards per rush, which was the same as the previous Buffalo Bills Draftee Ute Zack Moss.

Injury to the Knee

Williams also had the opportunity to play three more games for BYU before suffering an injury against the Washington Huskies.

With the misfortune of a season-ending injury, he managed to sprint 267 yards on 49 carries for an average of 5.4 yards per carrying and hauling in seven receptions for 47 yards and three touchdowns.

He also expressed gratitude and appreciation to all of his friends and family on social media, saying he had no regrets.

Despite his optimism, his 2019 season ended in a horrific way, and his love for football never allowed him to relax. Instead, he had a successful left knee injury surgery and chose a typical rapid recuperation.

Despite his injuries, he was still BYU’s leading rusher, and his struggles in the draft process seemed to be overlooked.

Career in the NFL

He drew back in for NFL training despite the event and lagging in his final collegiate season after missing the last three games.

Despite his medical setbacks, he continues to prepare for a career in the NFL.

Williams entered the spring draft to try his luck. He does, however, have incredible former performance photographs and experiences; he was recuperating from a terrible knee injury that could have been life-threatening.

As a result, he had a chance of missing the entire pre-draft process.

Williams eventually signed as a free agent with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League.

Unfortunately, the Baltimore Ravens were the only team to offer Williams a free agent contract.

Despite the injury, it was a reassuring time for his friends and family because he was able to achieve his goals.

Despite the circumstances, Williams is grateful for all of his life lessons and grateful for what he has.

He expresses gratitude to BYU for assisting him on and off the field, and he also expresses gratitude for the significant life skills taught.
