Tyrod Taylor is an American football player for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He went to Virginia Tech and led the Hokies to the Orange Bowl as a sophomore in 2009 and the Orange Bowl as a senior in 2011.

However, Browns guard Joel Bitonio and fourth-string quarterback Brogan Roback were heard saying “the-ROD” on the show.
The pronunciation was agreed upon by Taylor’s mother and the Browns’ senior vice president of operations.
Taylor joked that while he grew up hearing “TIE-rod,” his mother gave him the moniker “the-ROD,” but she “doesn’t call [him] by [his] first name.”
