Who is Emiru?

Emiru is a popular Twitch broadcaster and cosplayer. Emiru revealed in a recent episode of the Noodleshop podcast that she received strange messages from “renowned Twitch streamers” while she was underage.

One True King (OTK) content creator Emiru revealed that big Twitch streamers sent her “creepy” messages with comments about grooming and other topics.

During the Noodleshop Podcast, the OTK trio, Rich Campbell, Tectone, and Emiru, discussed how the Twitch community has evolved over time to become more inclusive of people of diverse ethnicities, genders, and the like.

“There’s some [expletive] that happened to me that would not [expletive] fly now at all like people would be [expletive] canceled if it happened now,” Emiru quickly interjected.

She claimed that she began streaming on Twitch when she was in high school, around the age of 17, and that several male streamers who discovered her were much older than her and made jokes about grooming her.

The American streamer was irritated because, at the time, no one seemed to mind when some of the platform’s notable streamers made jokes about manipulating actions.

She went on to say that if she brought it up to others, they would mock her and she would face backlash.

“People would call me a [expletive] and say, ‘Oh you’re a clout chaser,’ even though I never contacted them and never hung out with them when they asked me to… and they knew I was in high school,” the cosplayer continued.

She did not name any of the alleged Twitch streamers, but Campbell and Tectone both agreed that her story was “terrible,” and they both expressed hope that the site would continue to improve so that incidents like this would not happen again.

This isn’t the first time Emiru has expressed concern about stalking. She went live on Twitch on July 28, 2022, with some exciting news to share.
