What happened to Amber Luke?
According to the Daily Mail, Luke sobbed in court on May 4, 2021,
despite having previously dodged prison time for cocaine trafficking.
During a police investigation of Luke’s Capalaba home, sealed parcels of marijuana, MDMA,
and other drug-related paraphernalia were discovered. As a result, she was found guilty of seven drug-related crimes.
According to her defense attorney, the MDMA seized in her home was for personal use,
and the marijuana trafficking was mostly to pay for “her addiction.”
Furthermore, her lawyers highlighted that it was not intended to be utilized as criminal proceeds.
Despite the large number of prescriptions being sold, Judge Michael Williamson expressed sympathy for her mental health problems.
Luke was thus sentenced to three years of immediate parole rather than a prison
