Who is Steve Sarkisian?
Steve Sarkisian, born Stephen Ambrose Sarkisian, is a former quarterback and American football coach. Steve Sarkisian was just hired by the University of Texas at Austin after their previous coach, Tom Herman, was sacked.
Former head coach at Southern California and Washington, he also served as offensive coordinator for Nick Saban’s Alabama team.
Sarkisian, who has been coaching for almost two decades, will now use his experience working under Saban to try to bring about change in Austin, Texas, and assemble his first staff on the Forty Acres.
Aside from his flawless professional record, Steve was expelled from USC due to alcohol-related issues.

He has already divorced Stephanie Sarkisian, his wife of nearly two decades.
Steve and Stephanie married the weekend before he departed for Saskatchewan’s training camp in the Canadian Football League in 1997.
Stephanie was his high school sweetheart, and they dated until graduation.
Soon after, they went on a five-month honeymoon in Regina, Canada.
Steve Sarkisian and his wife have three children.
Brady Sarkisian is the couple’s son, and Ashley and Taylor Sarkisian are their daughters.
After 18 years of marriage, the couple announced their divorce in 2015.
They filed for divorce on April 20, 2015, and it was finalized in 2016.

Sarkisian fared well in the divorce settlement.
As part of the deal, the newly hired University of Texas head coach had to make a one-time payment of $293k and relinquish his former spouse the Land Rover.
According to the source, the majority of the family fortune was settled privately.
Steve and his 19-year ex-partner also agreed on no spousal maintenance, no child support, and joint custody of their three young children.
If he wins the $30 million wrongful termination action against USC, the former Alabama offensive coordinator, who earned more than $10 million coaching at Washington and millions more at USC, will receive 100 percent of any judgment.
