Mostly because I refused to lose my hair on a children’s television show.

And everything was occurring quickly.”

Later, during a live performance in 2011, he stated that he left the show because he did not believe he was the ideal person for the role.

“My contract was up for renewal, and I was beginning to seriously consider the possibility that, as fantastic as this is, they might have the wrong guy.”

“Perhaps this person should be a teacher or a child development professional,” Burns suggested.

Furthermore, in an exclusive interview with HuffPost in 2016, Burns stated, “I quit the program because it was simply time to go.

I was growing older, I was losing my hair, and many of the original gangsters on the program, including the guys who developed it, we’re moving on to new jobs.

It simply seemed like time.”
