In the fall of 2019, she joined the board of Matriarch PAC. She was also an advisor to Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign.

She previously served as the Democratic Minority Staff Chief Economist for the Senate Budget Committee from December 26, 2014, to 2016.
