College Career

After graduating from high school in 2008, he enrolled at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he scored an average of 20.2 points per game as a freshman.

This was the highest average among all freshmen in the country. He also set the ‘Big South Conference’s single-season scoring record as a freshman.

Later on, he planned to wear the number 30 jersey, which his father and older brother wore during the pinnacle of their careers.

Choosing a rebound

Curry eventually transferred from Liberty to Duke University following the 2008-09 season. He was forced to withdraw from the 2009-10 basketball season due to transfer rules.

In the sport of basketball, remaining out for a year is known as redshirting. When Kyrie Irving had a toe injury in the second year, Curry earned his first break at Duke.

Curry put forth a strong showing against the ‘Miami RedHawks‘ (Ohio), scoring 17 points on 57 percent shooting.

Similarly, with 22 points against the ‘North Carolina Tar Heels,’ which stood for the ‘University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,’ Seth became the leading scorer in the 2011 season.

Following that, he scored 31 points for the ‘University of Santa Clara’ against the ‘Santa Clara Broncos.’

Curry was named to the ‘All-ACC’ (Atlantic Coast Conference) first team and the ‘All-American second team’ by the popular sports publication ‘Sporting News’ by the end of his senior year.

Later, he was hired as a legal player by the NBA Development League’s Santa Cruz Warriors, where he started with 36 points, six assists, and three rebounds.

He linked up with ‘The Memphis Grizzlies’ in 2013, however, the partnership did not last long. He was released and returned to the Santa Cruz Warriors.

2014-2015

In 2014, Seth was named to the ‘NBA D-League All-Star Game Futures All-Star roster.

He signed a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2014 season, but he returned to the Warriors after the contract was not extended for an unknown reason.

In 38 games, he averaged 19.7 points, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 3.1 rebounds. He joined the ‘D-League training camp at the end of October 2014.

NBA All-Star Game in 2021

Seth was unable to participate in last year’s NBA All-Star game due to a broken hand, as we all know. He did, however, make an appearance this year and, of course, added to the game’s visual appeal.

It was his first time playing with LeBron James, and he was also the one who possessed all of the smooth motions.

And let’s not forget about his dunk! Yes, Curry did not win the MVP award or make the game-winning shot.

But he was the center of attention from the outset. He won the 3-point challenge, too, with three of his four attempts coming from six feet behind the 3-point line.

Curry also reacted fast to his teammate’s missed dunk by passing the ball to set up a slam by Nikola Jokic. He’d put up a horrible defense in total.

Career with the National Team

Seth represented the United States at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship in New Zealand, where he won the final 88–80 over Greece. For this tournament, Curry averaged 9.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.

Injuries

Curry, like every other athlete, has had his share of injuries that have kept him out of the game. Curry has battled a variety of injuries since the start of the 2017 season with shin soreness.

In short, left tibia soreness, knee injuries, and leg injuries are a few of them.

He had also tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Unfortunately, he was also dealing with a sprained ankle at the time.

It had only been eight games since he returned to the Philadelphia 76ers when he tested positive for Covid-19. He struggled to return to the lineup after being sidelined.

Wife and Personal Life

Seth Curry has always been outspoken about his personal life. He is currently married to Callie Rivers, a former professional volleyball player.

For the 2011-12 season, Callie’s brother Austin and Seth were partners. There was also a rumor that Austin was initially skeptical about their relationship.

At first, all he knew was that his sister was dating an NBA player. And NBA players are required to travel extensively; this could become offensive.

He was completely unconcerned once he realized the man was Seth.

In addition, the lovely couple has a lovely daughter named Carter Lynn, who was born in May 2018.

Wedding

The couple married right before Callie Rivers’ 30th birthday, which made the celebration even more special.

They also exchanged vows on the beaches of Malibu, California.

Right then, Callie was adorned in a lace mermaid gown with a bustier-styled bodice. In the meantime, Seth was flaunting in a blush suit jacket.

As the nuptials’ location was overlooking the Pacific Ocean, they also had tons of white flower arrangements all the way from the aisle.

Simultaneously, the aisle was mirrored, and their flower girls were nieces Riley and Ryan Curry. After the vows, they had a ballroom with chic black chandeliers and plenty of twinkle lights.

Indeed, the whole wedding sparked elegant yet subtle looks. Overall, Mindy Weiss was the wedding planner who featured rentals from Revelry Event Designers.

Brief Glance at Callie Rivers

Callie Rivers, the daughter of NBA Head Coach Doc Rivers and sister of NBA player Austin Rivers is now the wife of Seth.

Born on September 15, 1989, she is a former professional volleyball player and social media personality.

Indeed, she has been quite athletic since the early days and has even done an internship in Venue Magazine and Jeff Bhasker Production.

Also, she has fallen into a beef after her marriage.

Indeed, Paul George dated Curry’s wife Callie Rivers before her marriage.
