The sisters have a well-known and energizing rivalry with one another.
Serena has a 19-12 head-to-head advantage in their 31 meetings, the most recent in 2020.
Serena Williams has held the world’s number one position in singles for 361 weeks, while Venus Williams has held the title for 11 weeks.
Both have held the number one spot in doubles.
Between the 2001 US Open and the 2017 Australian Open, the sisters faced off in nine Grand Slam finals.
Serena has 73 WTA singles titles to Venus’s 49.
Venus has seven Grand Slam titles, including five Wimbledon and two US Open crowns.
Serena, on the other hand, has 23 singles majors to her name.
More than their antagonism, their on-court collaboration has been outstanding.
The duo is unbeaten in Grand Slam doubles finals, winning 14 of them together.
They also hold the all-time record of three Olympic gold medals in women’s doubles.
Another interesting fact is that 22 of Serena’s 23 doubles titles have been won alongside her sister.
