The Discovery-owned channel has officially renewed the show for a third season.
There are no rewards for guessing the show’s cast, as husband-wife team Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt are back to building gorgeous custom houses for clients in Tampa, Florida, in 100 days or fewer.
On May 10, 2021, HGTV announced that the third season of its most popular show, 100 Day Dream Home, starring married couple Brian and Mika, had been picked up.
The channel purchased 10 more one-hour episodes for Season 3 of the show.
The renewal comes on the heels of the second season’s record-breaking viewership of more than 23.9 million people.
Season 2, which premiered between January 4, 2021, and March 8, 2021, became the number one cable program in the Monday 8-9 p.m. timeslot, according to HGTV.
Overall, the show scored third among major audience demographic categories on cable.
Confirming that the new season will premier in early 2022, HGTV president Jane Latman said, “When you see Brian and Mika’s skill and experience in action during their high-adrenaline, time-crunched process to build gorgeous houses within 100 days, you can’t help but be inspired by it.”
“This combo is entertaining, new, and original — and fans can tell they are having a fantastic time together.
When you consider their great talent and the show’s fan response, it’s a simple decision to make more episodes.”
