Gunn and Halevi first met while he was playing Rocket, a renowned MCU character, and mainstay of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Rocket essentially played matchmaker for them, leading them on a path of love and a picnic wedding.

Gunn wrapped production on the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy in early May 2022.
Halevi paid tribute to her spouse and his role as Rocket in the hit franchise on that melancholy occasion.
“Besides being extremely proud of his work and passion to both Kraglin and Rocket, it’s a whole other emotional thing too,” she wrote on May 7, 2022, with a lovely, albeit hazy, image of the two kissings.
“We would never have met if it hadn’t been for his work as Rocket,” she remarked of Gunn, whom she met in Atlanta.
Rocket, she claims, converted her “3-week employment in Atlanta” into a 5-year “southern trip.”
And the raccoon changed her life forever, causing her to meet Gunn and eventually marry him.
Since its debut in the MCU in 2014, Gunn and Bradley Cooper have played Rocket, a space raccoon with the amazing ability to pilot a spaceship and operate blaster guns.
While Cooper provides Rocket’s voice, his physical look is based on Gunn’s movements.
He also plays Kraglin in the Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, and Thor films, in addition to Rocket.
She concluded her lengthy message by joking about Gunn’s work with Rocket, writing, “Thanks @jamesgunn for making your brother crouch/walk for all these years.”

The couple met in early 2013 when the first chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy filming began.
The couple got engaged on June 11, 2018, after dating for quite some time.
He proposed to her while they were on vacation in Kyoto, Japan, and the wonderful event was celebrated there.
They also shared a lot of photos on their Instagram stories to keep everyone updated on how everything went.
Then followed their “picnic wedding” on July 15, 2019.
The pair married in an unconventional ceremony on Catalina Island in Southern California.
In the photos, the wedding site appeared like a park, with imported Maasai Shuka blankets stretched over the lawn and baskets of gifts including cheese, Savannah Bee Company honey, disposable cameras, and colorful umbrellas atop the blankets.

“We are partial to Savannah; it was our first date when we met while working in Atlanta,” she told People magazine after their wedding, which was conducted by his brother, James Gunn.

They had set out to “break the wedding rules” by giving everyone ample space and freedom to enjoy themselves at the ceremony.
The theme was simply “1920s disco ball travels to the beach,” which she explained meant “be fun, be wonderful, be colorful, be shining, be awesome.”
They didn’t want to be the center of attention on their special day, so they requested bright outfits.
