Sarah, too, was diagnosed with Endometriosis and had Laparoscopic Surgery.
In addition, she had an abdominal hernia, for which she underwent hernia repair surgery.
Sarah’s father donated his kidney in 2012, and she underwent her first kidney transplant.
Unfortunately, her body began rejecting his kidney in October 2016, necessitating yet another transplant.
Sarah’s brother Ian Hyland donated his kidney in 2017, and she underwent yet another surgery.
So far, no issues have arisen. The actress has had 16 surgeries up to this point.
Sarah quit Modern Family after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Sarah’s mother, Melissa, stood up to give her kidney after her body began rejecting her father’s kidney.
She was unable to do so because she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
At the age of 47, she detected a lump on her breast.

Melissa flatly rebuffed Sarah and told her not to leave the show for which she had worked so hard.
“I Am Clearly Immunocompromised,” Sarah says of the Coronavirus.
Sarah recently stated that she is highly susceptible to Coronavirus,
a pandemic that is ravaging humanity. COVID-19 is extremely hazardous to the elderly,
infants, and anyone who takes drugs.
She detailed how she is prepared for the pandemic on Brad Goreski’s podcast,
Brad Behaviour, saying, “I am obviously immunocompromised with my transplant history
and am on immunosuppressants, so everything in my house is cleaned.”
“I just took a shot of hand sanitizer, so we’re okay,” she added.
Sarah is prone to panic due to her underlying health difficulties,
and she is trying everything she can to be calm at this critical juncture.
She intends to stay at home and will wear masks and gloves whenever she visits her doctors.

Sarah Hyland made her acting debut in the TV series Another World as Rain Wolfe (1997-98).
She then appeared in several additional famous TV shows, including Trinity, The Audrey Hepburn Story, and others.
