Sage Steele was born on November 28, 1972, in the Panama Canal Zone to Gary Steele, an African-American father, and Mona Steele, an Irish/Italian mother.

She grew raised with two brothers, Courtney and Chad Steele, in addition to her parents.

Chad is also the Vice President of Public Relations for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League.

Sage’s father, on the other hand, was the first African-American to play varsity football at West Point and later served in the US military as an army.

Spake and her family moved to numerous states and countries as a result of her father’s employment, including Greece and Belgium.

They returned to the United States in 1984 and lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, when Sage was in seventh school.

She also worked as a beat reporter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and covered the 1999 NCAA Men’s Final Four.

A year later, she joined Fox SportsNet as a reporter and covered Super Bowl XXXV for the 2000-01 NFL season.

In April 2001, Steele became the host for the debut of Comcast SportsNet in the Washington DC/Baltimore region.

Also, she anchored the flagship show SportsNite for six years and was named a beat reporter for the Baltimore Ravens hosting a magazine show for all five seasons till 2007.
