Ryan Destiny met her then-future-bae Keith in 2015 at a Teen Vogue party.
Powers allegedly observed Ryan from across the room before approaching her and introducing himself.

Ryan and Keith fell in love on their first date
Ryan was asked in an interview when she recognized she was in love with Powers.
“When I first met him,” she said. She admitted to liking him from the first time they met.
When her beau was asked the same question, he stated that he had come to the conclusion that life would be incomplete without her. He continued,
“It’s a pretty natural sensation to fall in love with someone.
You can’t simply wake up and declare, “I love this person, I feel it.”
Ryan and Keith both feel that falling in love has made them realize how much they love themselves.

Destiny revealed to Teen Vogue in early 2020 how they kept their romance private from the media.
Destiny stated in the interview how they have been strategic about exposing their romance on social media. Ryan stated,
“We are definitely more strategic than people believe.
We were in the private stage when we initially started dating, but we still wanted to convey that we were together.”She continued, saying:
“Over time, we’ve moved away from [posting about each other] because we’ve seen that the more you put out, the more people feel like they can be in your business.”
Meanwhile, Destiny addressed knowing what to share and what not to share.
Ryan also confessed that she and her partner Powers have determined how much of their relationship they should advertise on social media while keeping in mind how invasive the public may be.
