Who is Ruth Buzzi?
Ruth Buzzi, who retired from her over five-decade-long career in show business a while ago, has had a rough start to her new life. The comic endured many strokes, which severely harmed her body.
The 85-year-old, on the other hand, is still alive and struggling to recover from her illness. She has been rendered mostly immobile, but she is healing.
Her husband, Kent Perkins, who was the first to speak out about the comedian’s recent health scare, is assisting in her recuperation.
Ruth Buzzi is paralyzed after suffering multiple strokes.
On July 19, 2022, at nearly 4 a.m., a lengthy post emerged on Buzzi’s Facebook page.
Even though the attached photo seemed cheerful — Buzzi holding a cake and posing for the camera — the message was everything but.
Perkins’ article was an announcement regarding Buzzi’s health.
“This shot was taken nearly a year ago on Ruthie’s birthday,” he explained, before explaining what the post was really about.
Buzz had “devastating strokes” that had “rendered her bedridden and paralyzed,” according to Perkins.
Buzzi, on the other hand, was not out of it; she wanted everyone to know she was “not in pain” and was aware of the prayers being sent her way.
“She can still speak and understand, and she recognizes all of her friends and loved ones,” Perkins wrote.
“She is coping with this circumstance heroically and, believe it or not, with humor.”
Buzzi enjoyed and continues to appreciate everyone’s love and support over the years.
Then, on the evening of July 19, Perkins provided an upbeat update.
This time, he wrote on his Facebook page about Buzzi’s minor improvements and her new attitude.
“Ruthie demonstrated some great improvement today,” he wrote.
“She was able to move a leg that had been completely paralyzed for several weeks due to “stricture” from a stroke.
She ate well, spoke normally, and maintained her beautiful, award-winning sense of humor.”
She also prepared a humorous video for her brother Eddie.
However, Perkins acknowledged that she was not yet out of the woods.
Buzzi began experiencing strokes and their consequences around a month ago.
It had caused Perkins and her family members to be sleepless and restless.
With the small improvements, however, everyone could relax, including Perkins, who stated he would “sleep comfortably tonight for the first time in a month.”
Ruth Buzzi’s Retirement and Thank You for Your Support
Buzzi, who began her show business career in 1964, will retire in 2021.
She retired and went to a 629-acre ranch in Erath County near Stephenville, Texas, to live a quieter, more open life.
The couple currently lives in a ranch-style 9,800-square-foot home.
They have ducks and dogs, and despite her retirement, she regularly receives fan mail.

And she has always been grateful for the help.
She constantly tweets and writes on Facebook, thanking everyone for their friendship and support.
On July 18, 2022, a similar tweet surfaced on her Twitter.
“Thank you for your love and friendship throughout the years,” stated the tweet.
At first glance, it appeared to be simply another gratitude post.
A day later, though, the tweet appeared to be considerably darker.
Buzzi, on the other hand, did not resign because she had lost her mojo.
Her social media is still filled with jokes and quips inspired by her ranch life.
