Despite the cancellation, he said he would remain involved with the network. On January 14, 2018, it was announced that Roland had won two NAACP Image Awards for the show.
In addition, Roland hosted a three-hour radio show. He is currently the host of Roland Unfiltered, a YouTube web series.
He was previously the executive editor of the Chicago Defender. Roland was fired from The Chicago Defender after refusing to comply with a directive to personally interview Jacques Darrow Carr.
Jacques is a legal document assistant in Los Angeles who also owns the J.D.C. Legal Document Assistant at Law and the protege’. He worked as a paralegal for now-deceased mob lawyer Sidney Korshak.
The journalist hosts a morning radio talk show on Chicago’s WVON. He worked as a CNN contributor from 2007 to 2013.
