Pokimane Appears to Avoid Twitch Ban Following Wardrobe Failure
On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, the Twitch streamer took a brief break from her computer during a broadcast, and when she returned, her shirt was still open, exposing her chest to the audience.
“Hello, so I have a scientific question for everybody,” she said before appearing to realize she had her breast out.
The incident’s video on demand and clips were quickly removed, but other users were quick to download and post the material on Reddit.
Many people expressed sympathy for the Moroccan-Canadian YouTuber after her “embarrassing” outfit mishap, but they were also concerned for her.
Pokimane, unfazed, continued with her broadcast, but only after changing her attire and not mentioning her wardrobe malfunction once during her six-hour stream.
As a result, she has avoided being banned at this time.
Prior to this, the co-founder of Offline TV experienced a minor glitch during her June 24 broadcast in front of thousands of viewers.
Although not as scandalous as her recent incident, the Twitch star was caught in a minor wardrobe mishap while attempting to adjust her brown tailored pants live on stream.
“These pants are, like, the cutouts are cute, but it makes it look like I have a bulge,” she said, covering the odd-looking bulge on the pants with her hands.
Similarly, Pokimane revealed that she was a victim of a scam involving a phony lingerie shop that asked her to send obscene images of herself.
In a TikTok video from November 9, the streamer described the terrifying experience, claiming that a person posing as a representative from the lingerie and loungewear company, Neiwai, had emailed her about a possible collaboration.
In the email, the company allegedly requested her measurements so that they could send her products from their “new collection,” but she soon discovered they really wanted a picture of her “bare chest.”
“I realized that they weren’t showing me how to take my measurements,” the YouTuber said, adding that they asked her to put a tape measure over herself and email them a picture of her naked chest.
Pokimane went on to talk about how convincing the email thread was, pointing out that the con artist had created a number of phony email accounts using the company name to appear, official, as well as an entire PowerPoint presentation to appear authentic.
